Digital Rock Physics

3D imaging utilising CT and/or microCT has proved as state of the art technology for visualising for example the 3D pore network or fluid distribution in rock samples.

Numerical simulation in the 3D pore network can then be used to calculate rock properties and fluid flow (for example porosity, permeability, capillary pressure and relative permeability curves).

We have extensive expertise in developing workflows from rock imaging to data interpretation. We have conducted numerical simulations to calculate rock properties in carbonate plugs. Industry standard software (AvizoFire) is used.
