Isotope Geochemistry

The application of tracer technologies is a common tool to trace various fluid-fluid or rock-fluid interactions.

Isotope geochemistry, especially the combination of noble gas (for example Helium) and stable isotopes (for example Carbon and Hydrogen) will provides insights in relevant reservoir related processes.

Whether measured on rock samples or determined on gasses/fluids, isotope measurements are useful in reconstructing for example diagenetic alterations of reservoir rocks, oil or gas migration pathways, and source rock to reservoir composition analyses.

At SakhraGeo, we have the technical expertise and experience in applying isotope geochemistry for reservoir related studies. Stable isotope geochemistry (Carbon and Hydrogen) has for example been used to decipher the origin of gas in the annulus tubing. Both the natural gas composition and stable isotope compositions were determined and the origin of the gas behind casing was successfully determined.

Services we provide include data acquisition and interpretation, data QA/QC
